SUZUKI MEHRAN
The Suzuki Mehran
is a small car manufactured and marketed by Pak Suzuki Motors, a subsidiary of Suzuki in Pakistan. It is generally a re-badged second-generation Suzuki Alto. It was the top-selling car in Pakistan because people had no other choice in its price range. Before the Euro-II EFI version came out, Its sales began to lag due to the high price tag after the Efi conversion.[citation needed]
In 2015, press reports indicated the car sold for US$6,250. A very high price for a car with everything manually operated.[1]
The Suzuki Mehran is a 796 cc hatchback or Kei car. It is also known as Maruti 800. It is a fuel-economic car, it can seat up to four people effectively; however, it does not have any special specifications, in the VX engine, there is nothing factory-installed, but in VXR engine, there is factory installed AC, just like the Suzuki Bolan. From its production to now, its passenger A/C vent has been removed, and headlights and tail-lights has been renewed. However after 2013, the Efi engine has been installed for more economic performance of the car.
Its price has grown rapidly among many lacs, and so the production is decreased too. However, before the Euro II / Efi installment, it was the most bought car in Pakistan. It is still the most efficient and cheapest car in Pakistan. It is also used as taxi and a 'khota reri' in some parts of Pakistan
